Rear blade?/Landscape rake?

Well, I got the tractor on Saturday and quickly determined that I didn't have enough equipment. My property is in Texas Hill Country and has quite a few rocks, like everywhere. I'm thinking possibly a landscape rake and a blade of some variety. The salesman said a box blade would be better, however, I think a blade that I could angle would be more useful. What do you guys think?

I thought the same thing when I was buying. Neighbors not only agreed with your salesman, but the nearest neighbor told me he had the blade that could be angled and I was welcome to use it any time. So I bought the box blade, and in the 8 years I lived there, neither he nor I ever used that other blade of his.

You will find you will never have enough attachments /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif if you look around you can find some real nice attachments for a good price and get all three (Box, rear, rake)....
The box blade has the rippers which will help get the smaller rocks up. The rake can quickly move them in a pile (guide wheels should be a must) and help spread out top soil quickly...the blade is good for smoothing over but not digging like a box blade w/rippers...sources for these attachments could be the advertisers here...CCM and Corriher come to mind...

I have all 3. I recently just gotten the box blade. Worked great for grading and cutting in a swale. The other thing that makes it great is the hyd tilt piston. IMO I would get the box blade like a woods SR series. They have a lever that rotates the teeth down or up out of the way. Other style has you lifting each individul tooth.
