I'm looking to buy a 7' medium duty rear blade. Frontier has one but it's a bit pricey at $950. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

BillyP,

I was just looking at CCI Machinery's link and it appears they sell the midwest equipment models for a significantly less amount.

CCI Machinery They list the price for the 6 foot model and it is only $325.00. I can't imagine the 7 footer would be a whole lot more.

I would suggest calling them and see how much the 7 footer would run and how much to have it delivered to you. Seems like it would be worth the call since the one you are looking at is almost $1000.00 best of luck.

Billy,
Please make sure you look at the Midwest Blades . The are very well built units. It appears they offer three different series of blades. The 15 series seems to only go up to 6'.
I have seen this whole line in person and they are awesome. Several dealers sell the Midwest line. They used to be the supplier to First Choice that you may have seen a lot of posts on here about.

I have a woods RB84 (7 Footer). It tilts, reverses and is med duty. It offsets but not easily. (Have to unbolt blade and reattach in different holes). Cost $350. Well worth the money and I haven't been able to hurt it with a 25hp bota. I've done a lot oft dirt work with it and can't bend it - just spins my tires if I get hung up. If I had to do it again I would like one that offsets just by a linkage arrangment. These are usually quite a bit more and are heavier duty but also caost quite a bit more.

I've got the same Woods blade as Gerard and would highly recommend it.

Thanks guys. The Midwest blades sure do look well made. I like the way they offset and angle too.

I've tried to find dealers, other than CC but I haven't had any luck. I just thought maybe there was one closer than TN. I'll probably call CC tomorrow and check on shipping.

After looking at the Midwest line, I think the RB22-84 will suit my needs just fine. Although the RB40 is awesome.

Thanks again

Midwest will sell direct, but the shipping gets pretty expensive. Give them a call.

If they'll drop ship from the plant, it's in Illinois. Whole sight closer to OK than TN is.

I called Midwest today. They quoted me a price of $310 for the RB22-84, plus $88 for freight. I reckon I'll go ahead and order it tomorrow.

Wish I could afford one of their box blades at the same time. Oh well, it'll give me something to buy later. Winter propane prices and usage are hard on a chicken farmer.

I'm wondering if I should get a 6' box blade or 7'?

Have you got your blade yet? How do you like it? How about some pics? Can't decide between a Midwest or a Tufline. I beleive the Midwest would work better with a tail wheel for grading the 1/4 mile driveway. Thanks in advance !!
