Rear bucket?

I thought that attachment would turn around as well. But cannot tell from the picture.

Did you get all those attachments (shown in the picture) with your tractor? That 2-bottom plow is nice.

four_by_ken.
that scoop in your picture is identical to the old ford scoop that we have, they are not made reversible but years ago my father welded on brakets so that ours could be reversed, looks like your grader blade in front of it is the same as our farm-star blade that we bought when central tractor was going out of bussiness

Yup, I got all of them... with the tractor. I will attach pictures in the next few posts.

This post is the tractor itself.

plow

which I need to modify a little. The points where it attached to the 3 pt are a little too wide.

Nice "stable" of attachments. I am concerned about your "plow" comment:
<font color="blue">"" which I need to modify a little. The points where it attached to the 3 pt are a little too wide""
<font color="black"> The 3pt arms should attach to the ends of the cross bar on the plow, and are critical to the adjustment of how the plow tracks behind the tractor (by way of the lever on the plow). I am curious about how (and why) you apparently think you want to modify them (that is if I understand what you mean by "points"). I don't think I am an expert on plows, but have some experience adjusting them to plow right, and know it is a very delicate experience. I have a one-bottom Dearborn plow. If you want to elaborate more on this some time, we might be able to help you. </font>

Ken, your scoop is exactly the one my father had on his Ferguson TO-20. He got it heaping full of dirt and could not control the tractor. He ended up two wheels in a gully, and with the tractor lurching about, he jumped off just as the tractor rolled over. It pinned him beneath it and I ended up rolling the tractor off of him. I'll never forget seeing my father laying there crushed on the ground. His injuries cost him 6 months of his life in the hospital and the loss of a business. Everything got back to normal after that. I'm not trying to do anything but justify that that "little" scoop can be plenty big for your 9N. By the way, the release mechanism on that scoop is far superior to any I've seen on the modern scoops which are reversible (see attachment). Getting one of those rear "loader" type scoops might be fun and with manure, you aren't talking about too much weight. If you try to lift a bucket full of dirt high enough to dump into a pickup bed, you just might get a little top-heavy. It's really too bad they aren't common enough for you to give one a test drive. Anyhow, I'm impressed with the good selection of tools you have for your tractor. I think you will keep that little 9N very busy with all those tools. I can't imagine that in 1939 when the 9N was built, that they ever thought that tractor would last this long or be used for so many things. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Oh! By the way... The attached dirt scoop picture is from King Kutter's website at King Kutter Implements If you are interested.

I guess what I should say is...
When compared to all my other attachments... the two points where the lower 3 point arms attach... it is wider than any other implement. So, I have to disconnct the limit chains in order to attach it. I guess I am junt being lazy.

You don't want the sway chains (or bars, for tractors so equipped) controlling a 3-point plow anyhow (properly adjusted, it will trail right where it should, & offer far less stress without the sway limiters), so you would have to take them off anyhow. Plow adjustments are difficult the first time, getting angle, yaw, pitch, and all just right between the plow & tractor. After that it is hook up & go. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would be real careful about modifying a plow and messing those adjustments & relationships up.
