I'm looking at using the following setup for the internal frame for a rear 3pt. counter weight.

Now, I am trying to keep in simple and looking to just build a wooden "box" around the drawbar and up to just below the point where the top link attaches to the "A" frame and then pouring Quik-crete in and letting setup. So . . .

* Do you think this is a do-able idea?

* How large of wooden box do you think I should build to get the a sufficient amount of weight. I am typically doing loader work but I am really doing this to use when I move round bales. I would like to get in the range of 700-900 lbs.????

Any thoughs, comments . . .

I'd make a separate weight box that connects like your current setup which would still allow you to take the box off and put your trailer mover hitch back on as needed. Or if you make a steel weight box you could incorporate a 2" receiver to the back of the box for moving trailers. I'm designing one for my tractor right now that will allow me to do just that. A few members here have made that same type box so I have ideas for mine. Do a search here for ballast or weight box and you'll find all different types.
