I continue to be amazed at my complete ignorance of pretty much all things hydraulics. I have a grapple bucket coming which I want to power using the rear hydraulics. There is a lever that controls the rear remote with a graphic representing that Position I pulls a cylinder and Position II pushes. It is my understanding that I will need a male and female 1/2" flat face quick connect for the front. Potential bad jokes aside, which connector is for the push and which is for the pull?

Here's a picture of the rear hydraulics, with me holding what I believe to be a standard 1/2" agri coupler and which also shows another graphic repersenting Position I and Position II to match with the graphic on the lever:

I'm confused because the labels are horizontal, suggesting that left hydraulics would be I and right hydraulics (if I had them) would be II. It's also somewhat ambiguous in the manual:

You can see the lever under the seat labeled "Lever I" and "Lever 2" which is really only a single lever but 2 positions (really 3 because there's a center position as well). It also shows the rear hydraulics also labeled this and again suggesting that the couplers on the left are Lever 1 and Lever 2 are on the right. I believe instead that the top coupler is Position I, pull, and the bottom is Position II, push. So, I need hoses with 1/2" agri coupler for the rear, 1/2" flat face couplers for the front, one male the other female, and figure out whichi is top and which is bottom? Again, lots of potential for bad jokes there.

I'm sorry for the simple questions, but I have to get the hoses made at an auto parts store, and believe me, they're even more clueless about hydraulics than I am. Thanks for all the help, and I really enjoy the forums.

Welcome to TBN.....

It won't matter which hose is male or female on the front because if you get the direction wrong you can switch the hoses at the remote on back which use the same fittings.
I bought my hoses at my local tractor supply store ready made and bought fittings and swivels fittings too. 14' hoses made it to the loader crossbar. I use them for a power angle plow and for a hyd. thumb installed on my forks. I set mine up so pushing the remote handle fwd. angles the plow left and back agles it right. Same with the thumb, fwd. to close the thumb and back to open.
Attached is a list of what I bought 4 years ago. TSC prices were cheaper than having my local NAPA make them. Maybe you NAPA is less.
