Rear lights complete!

I finished my rear lights project. This picture shows the lights mounted just behind the ROPS bar. The lights are actually mounted to the frame of the canopy, and not the ROPS.

I was originally going to mount the switches for the lights to the side of the ignition key, under the guage panel, but it seems like JD made that panel almost impossible to remove. I actually prefer where I ended up mounting them under the drivers seat. There are two switches, one for each light plus a panel mount fuse holder. I got high current switches, and skipped the relays. The switches are splashproof, and also protected by rubber boots.

One more picture showing the lights on. They have already come in handy feeding the horses in the late winter evenings. Will be really nice when using the rear blade too. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also like your switch placement. When I mounted my switches, like and idiot, I didn’t put it in as protected of spot as yours and at the time I didn’t know about those rubber switch protectors so sure enough a couple of weeks ago I really needed them and the switch wouldn’t work. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Now I’m looking for a new mounting place and using the bullet connectors as the switch. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Time for rev II. Your install gives me some ideas.
