Snowblower Rear mount PTO snowblower RPM question

I have acquired an older (yet never used) Ariens tractor mounted snow blower (meant for a garden tractor). It is about to be Frankensteined into a 3-point PTO driven monster (pictures on a later post).

My question is, for blowers like this Puma (thanks to whom ever I stole the pictures from), is the impeller spinning at the full 540 RPMs or is it reduced (and by roughly how much?

Six months till the snow flies .....

The impeller turns at the same speed as the PTO.
