I didn't think to bring the camera to the field but the Pottinger 305 and the 5455 got the field mowed in 2 hours flat that used to take 4 hours in the Kubota with the NH489. It is very happy running at 8.9 mph and could go faster but I don't have enough power when going up hill. I think I'll take the loader off next time to save a pile of weight.
I had dug out rocks last year and hadn't disced over the holes last year, that wasn't fun hitting at that speed, and I did toss some rocks from the little spoils next to the holes. All the other rocks that the haybine smashes into and jumps in the air for aren't even noticed on the discbine.
The drydown from the flails seems faster too. Cut quality is great. I'm sold. I do miss the hydro for mowing, being able to slow down at will and start back up smoothly. Also miss the main clutch for getting heavy pto loads spinning. The disc will almost stall the Massey when it kicks on.
I also drug my new to me tedder out of the bushes so I can got over it. An arm is loose and a pivot ball needs replaced.
