Snow Rear mounted snow blower for BX?

Been thinking of adding a rear mount snow blower for those once in every 2-3years deeper snows.Whats the thoughts out there? I have a BX2230 with a loader and I mostly use a front mount kubota plow for all my snow needs now.I haven't had over 8" to plow as I try to keep ahead of the snow when it's falling but I know one of these times I'm going to wake up with 18"-2' of snow and wish I had a blower.I have about 700 ft of level stone driveway about 10-12'wide.Any kinds that really shin out there, any to stay away from?

If that is all of the big snows you get, I would do one of two things, if my FEL couldn't handle it:

1) stay home until it melts,

2) stay home until the big front end loader you hired gets there to clean up the mess.

Your bx would be one mean snow machine with a plow on the front and a nice 2-stage on the back. Depends on the layout you have and what needs to be polwed (i.e. if you don't mind taking some extra time and piling the snow up along side your driveway, a plow is just fine for most people in your region based on your snow amounts). IMHO, if you just have a plow on the front, I can see how a large snowfall scares you a little. If you have a plow on the back, you can make up for drifts and large snowfalls with your fel. If you have a blower on the front or back and a plow on the opposite end, you're all set pretty much anywhere around your parts.

Get one that is as wide as, or slightly wider than your rear tires. If you really want to be impressed, get a front mounted blower . I've seen a few on Craigslist around here if you don't want to spend the cha-ching for new.

If this won't get the job done i will go with 1 or 2 above.

i'm in pa too. and know what you meen. i got a used 52 in blower for the back andblade mounted on the fel arms . works great. havwe met at any bike events

How did you mount a blade on the FEL arms?

Don't know if we met or not, been to a lot of local bike event's most likely we've crossed paths some where,maybe a open house or a benefit ride.What kind of blower do you have?Do you like it enough to recomend it.
