I just purchased a 2310 and after removing the hoe, I dropped the 3 point hitch down and found that the PTO Shield also swings down, but there's nothing to bolt or pin it to, due to the backhoe subframe mount being in the way. I'll call the dealer on Monday, but was just curious. Thanks

It should flip down as there are only two bolts that hold this in place ... It is made so that it can be rasied so that if u want to keep ur 3 piont hitch attached while back hoe is ALLSO attached

I was just wondering, because looking close at the shield, it has two slots where bolts should go through. I seems to me that it needs to be held tight, while running the rear PTO or if something fleww apart, a "pivoting" shield would only slow it down, not stop it.
