Rear pto vs front Pto Hp

Gday everyone.
Hypothetical, if you have a 100hp tractor with 85 rear pto hp, does that translate to also having 85hp at the front pto or is there a loss/less power at the front pto.

One dealership told a mate its lower at the front, another dealer told me with their tractors there isn't a loss at the front

I don't know, but being there is less friction loss in the front, it should be a little higher.

To lose horsepower between the engine and either PTO requires converting mechanical energy to some other kind, which of course would be heat in this case. It's hard for me to imagine there are things generating thousands of watts more heat along one drive chain than along the other. For one thing there'd have to be something in the transmissions reaching a very high temperature or else moving a whole lot of air to carry the heat away at a lower temperature.

So it could be brand specific if there are losses, depending on how the tractor is designed. The deutz dealer, who i know is a mechanic by trade was confident theirs didn't have a loss, or much of a loss due to the design.

So one of the tractors in question is a New holland t4.110f. In the specs the rear pto is making 107hp at 2300rpm. The dealer just got some info to us, the front mount pto from factory is capable of 93hp at 1920 rpm.
