A year ago, I bought a new Kubota MX5100 tractor. About 6 months ago, not wanting to drive the 55 miles to the tractor dealership to install a single set of rear remotes, I opted to order the kits, and do the install myself. It took about a day to complete the install, as I was very careful to follow the (very meager) directions that accompanied the Kubota kit. Several weeks later, I installed my brand new Fit-Rite hydraulic cylinder as a replacement for the turnbuckle top link. The set up is connected to a quick hitch. It seemed to work very well. Later, after connecting a box blade to the quick hitch, I noticed that after maybe 30 minutes to a hour, the rear of the box blade is no longer paralell to the ground, as it sags downward. Since then I connected a straight blade and while ditching, noticed that the shaft on the cylinder moves inward as pressure is applied. I then disconnected the 2 hydraulic lines at the remote bank, and continued my ditching project, noticing that the cylinder shaft maintains it's position, and does not retract with pressure.
I now assume that the problem is not in the cylinder, but probably in the valve that I installed. Any ideas???
Thanks.
