I'm very very new to tractors and I know this topic has been done to death, but I was wondering if anybody has step by step instructions for setting up three rear remotes (Top Link, Tilt and Extra) on a Kubota L2800HST. I'm tractor challenged!

What are you exactly looking for? Instructions for plumbing a 3-spool aux valve? If so, have you chosen a valve? Do you realize that the Kubota valves are expensive (at least 3 times more) and are standalone valves just like a Prince SV?

If you are tractor challenged and mechanically challenged then it is probably worth it to get the factory setup for the extra $600-$800 and have the dealer install it. If you want to install a system yourself then go to Surplus Center and buy a 3 spool Prince SV open center valve with power beyond. The spool options you will need will be option "B".

I have posted several dozen times the procedure for plumbing an aux valve off of the loader valve, which is the same procedure for your tractor. You will have to figure out the fittings to purchase and you will have to measure for the correct length hoses.

The bottom line is we need more info from you in order to give you the best information.

I just went to local Dealer. Got the cost for 3 vale kit $1586.00, if they install $1800.00 plus. Got to be a cheaper way. What I like to have is Hydraulic Top Link, a tilt for box scraper or blade and grappler up front for bucket. Pictures, pictures, pictures and more pictures of all connections form tractor pump and mounting locations of valves would be nice.
Thanks Don

Crash,
Search this forum, Kubota Owning/ Operating, for "remotes". You'll find a few days worth of reading with plenty of photos.

At this point in time, I've read almost all of them and I have a pretty good handle on things. Hope this helps...........

BTW, Some of the dealers that post here are very knowledgable and helpful in regard to how they plumb things and what equipment they use in a given situation. I spoke to Neil Messick on the phone and he pointed me in the right direction with my Cross control valve. Thanks Neil!

And some of the guys here, like MadReferee, and others, are very savvy with hydraulics. They'll help when you need it!

Use the Search function here on TBN. Search for "remotes" and you will get more information than you can possibly digest including pics. I posted a thread several years ago about adding a Prince SV 3-spool valve to a B2710.

Using the Prince SV valve from Surplus Center and hoses and fittings from Discount Hydraulic Hose you can put the entire 3-spool setup together including fittings and hoses for around $500-$600. It does require work on your part to figure out the best hose routing and what fittings to use. That's the fun of a DIY project. Many people have done it before. There are plenty of posts here describing the procedure. There are also plenty of posts that describe the little tricks to make it all go easier, for example using a garden hose to route and measure for the hydraulic hoses.

Once you get into the project I will be more than happy to help you with any problems you may encounter or questions you may have.

Say, on the topic of Kubota Factory remotes. Why are they so dern spendy? Is there a form fit and function valve that is not so spendy?
It's called profit margin. There is no valve available on the market that is a direct bolt-on substitute for the Kubota valves (or NH valves for that matter) that mount to the transmission. The Prince SV is a good substitute for the ones that are externally mounted like the ones for the L2800, and B-series other than the B2630/3030.
