I am going to purchase rear suspension air bags for my 2006 Ford F150 4X4 supercrew cab.Is there really much difference between the air lift and firestone brands? If so what are they? Thanks for any info.

I have used both. Air Ride is just as good at 2/3 the price.

I have the Air-Lift product on my '06 Dodge Sprinter and I am happy with them ... no idea on the Firestone product.

I ended up ordering the firestone airbags tonight the install looked a little easier verses the air lift. Thanks to all who replied.

I have had both Firestone & Air ride in 2 different motorhomes, no ride or performance difference. First one had Firestone on it when I bought it. I added Air Ride to second motorhome after I had and noticed the huge difference in ride and sway without them. Only thing I could find difference between the 2 for fit up on my 1996 F53 chassis was the Firestone said "no drilling required", made to fit pre-punched hole in the frame. For less money I bought the Air Ride and had to drill 1 hole in frame one each side.

I installed a set of the Firestones on a 2013 F150 that I previously owned. Installation wasn't bad at all. I had the inflation valves poking out through the bottom license plate holes.

I see you bought the firestone already but whatever you do, don't plumb them together. Are you putting a compressor on board? I saw where there is the option now to remotely control the pressure in each bag which would be so much nicer than dragging the air compressor out and guessing what the right pressure is.
