anyone got a wireing diagram that can be post on rear tail light on 1802D yanmar or some thing that is close.. I got the lights but they dont work got a extra wire hanging loose on the right rear fender and dont know where it should be hook up. maybe it will get lights working

The extra wire goes to an optional rear work light. Sometimes the taillights don't work because of poor ground contact. I've had to go back and add a groud wire to several of the fixtures before they would work. They don't come with ground wires, they're just grounded to the fenders.

Ket, if you're talking about the directional signals mounted on the rear fenders, on my 2000 neither one of mine worked at first either. there is a single 12v wire running from the turn signal switch to each one, routed under the trans., axles, etc. these wires had been cut in several places by debris or whatever. There are connections along the way so you can test for 12v with a meter from end to end along the way and repair accordingly til you get 12v at the end. 12v + frame ground = lights.

torn into the rear taillights today or what I thought was rear taillight.. seems its just a reflector with enough room in the fixture to put tail light..

My F16D only has turn signals also. Why would there be signals but no parking lights and no flashers?....Does anyone know if this is normal?

Not sure why there would be no flashers or parking lights but I wired my turn signals so that they both flash when I turn the switch left. I figured that made more sense since I don't drive my 1401D to work. (at least not very often) /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I also didn't like the idea of only having turn signals... I instead wired mine to both flash, so that i can use it as a 'hazard' flasher.

The turn signal switch on the 186 lifts up to make both rear amber lights flash. There is a small spot light on the right rear fender angled to illuminate the implement you are pulling. I have a triangular reflective farm implement symbol on the back of the seat to increase visability. I try hard to stay away from roads as it gets dark. I have seen small battery operated magnetic strobe lights that you could stick on the tractor if you were concerned. Saw them at the JD dealer.

Most shops that sell towing equipment also sell cigarette lighter powered strobe lights.

I added a gig. lighter. adapter to run 12v stuff off the tractor,, proves invaluable at times.
