Rear tire pressure while...

....having ballast (water) in them. Have a set of 16x9x3O (I think) they are on a NH TN 75 and they seem to be a little low by looking at them... Pressure is about 8 or so and was wondering what it should be. Tractor was bought with thefluid already in the tires..

My understanding is you run the same pressure as when just air filled. Example: if you'd run 10 psi before adding ballast, you still run 10 psi after. (I don't know if 10 psi is right for yours...)

If you have some concrete surface to run them up on, wet the tires and run them across, you want a full tread pattern to show. I dont know if this holds true with the industrial R4 tires though. A little buldge in the side walls is normal for a full traction tire (AG type) The tire pressure should be listed in your manual and on the tire for maximum but that doesnt mean that you have to run it maxed out. I seem to remember for tires on our full sized ag tractors 10-12 psi is about right depending on the load you are carrying and that held true for just about all the sizes from 8n to 9000 Fords.

Yep, same pressure...

Pressure is adjusted for the task at hand (i.e. a bit lower for ground engagement or when more traction is needed; higher pressure for transport on a road).

Thanks for the replies... Manual said 22 and one had about 8 and the other 12... I added some but couldn't get a good reading on my tire gauges as one is digital (probably no more since it's filled with water) and the other seems to hang up a little... 15 may be a good medium

Pick up an air/liquid gage at your local NAPA or tractor dealer. They're less then 10 bucks.
Yeah, that digital gage is probably toast...

As already said, pressure should be the same, liquid balast or not.
I usually run 12-14 in the rears on all of mine.
IIRC, that 22 psi number in the book is a maximum, and you only need that if you have something very heavy on the 3 pt hitch.

Air pressure is the same for loaded tires as it is for unloaded tires .

same pressure.. I'd see what 12 looked like.. pretty much I don't use a gauge on tractor tires anymore.. just air till the profile looks good and go.. not over and pulged inthe center with sides off the ground, or under and bulged at the sides and middle bundled up..e tc..
