Anyone ever try using a rear view mirror when using a scraper blade, convex or standard ? Love my new rear landpride blade but looking back sucks.

Don't know if this is the question you are asking. Here is convex mirror mounted on upper mast for 300CX FEL. Holes are already there. Use 3/8" diameter clear plastic tubing for perfect spacer in the smaller hole.

Can you see the rear blade ? I was thinking about a mirror up in the canopy top so I can see the whole rear blade as I use it. Going to look for one of those wide angle mirrors with the multiple mirrors that gives a all around rear view. Surprised I only got one post, I thought maybe this is a common item on a tractor.

If you mount the mirror on the canopy the vibrations might make it hard to see out of. I operated a tractor with a factory installed mirror in the cab and it vibrated so much I had to hold the mirror steady to be able to see out of it.
One thing I have found with the convex mirrors is that they are bad for depth perception when working with 3 point mounted implements.

My dad sometimes helps me in my earthmoving business by running my tractor with 8yd dirt pan. He has trouble looking back so he mounted a flat mirrow inside the cab. He manages to use the mirrow without any problems. I on the other hand cant use it no matter how hard I try. Guess its just up to the operator wether or not it works.

From your requirements, you might look into a ski boat mirror, probably 15" long by 4" tall with the right curvature that might work well. Go to a ski boat shop or online and see if that is an idea to work.

I have a mirror mounted just like CinderSchnauzier on the loader mast, and also have one up high on the front of my canopy. Neither are helpful for controlling rear implements. Just for backing up or seeing traffic coming up from behind on the road.

Thanks ! Was looking for people who actually tried using mirrors, maybe a rear view camera.

Was wondering about the vibration problem. Thanks.

Did find a stainless and rubber mounted mirror for forklifts and tractors but sounds like the vibes might be a problem.
