Would have been nice to see the outer and inner ring rotated so you could tighten inner lugs with an extension and socket.

It's alway nice to widen the track of the axles. You may have been able to reverse (if Turf tires) or swap (Ag or Industrial tires) side to side.
But since you bought the spacers, may as well use 'em.
Where did you buy them and what was the price, if I may ask?

I think the reason the hole's are offset is for strength.
On my tractor (JD 3203) swaping the rear wheel's only give's you 1.5 " on each side 3 " on the front each side.
So swapping the rear's and the spacer's will give me about a 15 " stretch on the back.
My tire's are r15x19.5 like on a Bobcat very wide.
With loaded front and rear tire's and FEL the tractor will only weight 4000 lbs.
The stock wideth of the rear wheel's outside to outside was 56 inche's so I needed more surface on the ground I have a hilly farm.
I will post some pic's when I get them installed.
Here is the web site for the spacer's they are all custom made for each tractor.

Last year I bought a set from this company. I only got 1.5" spacers because of interference with the MMM. Reversing my rear wheels with R4 tires had no effect on the width. I've had no problems at all with the spacers from The Tracks Company and leave them on all the time because part of my property has a 12 deg slope. Christian was quite easy to deal with and answered any of my questions. I did grind the outer edge of the spacer that contacted the tractor wheel because of a tight fit and I was concerned it might cut into the wheel - I expect it would have been all right though. These were the least expensive spacers I could find and they were a little cheaper buying from the company than from ebay.
