I am having a brain cramp. Having some issues with traction. If I am on the driveway no problem.

I need to actually move some snow out in the "yard". Need to make a path from the barn to the manure pile for example. If the snow gets too deep before I can get to it I have traction issues.

More weight on the rear will help that yes? I am pushing snow with the bucket. So if I pick up my tiller for an additional 600 lbs of weight that should solve some problems? I do not have chains so that is not an option right now.

Yes, adding rear weight will help. Add a 3 pt. implement or rear wheel weights or load the rear tires. All will help when plowing snow. I use loaded tires, chains and a 3 pt snowblower for counterweight and plow with eitherthe bucket or a front snow blade.

If you add too much you'll experience steering issues. Until that point, the more the merrier.

I have a Kubota M6040. 820# grapple on the FEL, 1550# of Rim Guard in the rears, 1100# Rhino rear blade on the 3-point. All adds up to - 10,100 pounds. Keeps my R-1's firmly planted when I plow my driveway. Even the hard frozen berms don't stand a chance.

Just hooked up the 600lb tiller last night because that was the heaviest thing I had easy access to. What a difference that made! I don't want to fill the tires because one of my main uses is mowing horse pasture in the summer. I do not want to add to the compaction.

Now I have to re-think my winter time storage so that I can leave the tiller hooked up for snow plowing duty.

I rarely need any rear wheel weight on my little JD2210 pushing snow. But if I do I hang suitcase weights sideways on the 3pt arms. Quickly adds weight without adding length. 3pt attachment weight gets bulky real quick.

Yeah I grabbed what I had. I am getting a delivery back into a barn. Needed to move some snow out of the way. So mostly out in the open. Would not work clearing snow off the drive where space and manuvering is more necessary.
