Rear Wheel Width

What rear wheel width is anyone running on their midsize tractor? I notice that on my L-4400 I can get another 4 inches width total by changing the rim part of the wheel around from the center disc, then changing L to R. I use the tractor for loader work and light logging, and in the winter, plowing. I can see wider might mean more lateral stability but less manoeverability in some tight quarters while plowing and in the woods. Do others have the wheels as wide as possible?
How about the fronts? Should I change them too?

Mine was set as wide as possible by the dealer (front and rear). Which is what I would have requested if I had thought about it.

You will not gain much stability reversing the front rims, (front axle pivots). You will however gain a lot by making the rear as wide as you can still work with… KennyV.

Maximize the rear wheel width, it adds LOTS of stability! Even then allways wear your seatbelt with the ROPS up.

As long as it does not cause a problem if you are doing row crop work. Wide is nice.

My L4400 came with the next-to-the-widest setting. I don't remember the exact measurement. This width suits me fine as it is almost the same width of my 6 foot implements. I think the mower edge might stick out just a tad on either side. BB is almost exact.

I thought about going to the widest setting but given the perfect match with my implements I left it alone.

Edited to add: The L4400 manual says not to reverse the fronts or fill them for ballast.
