 The salesman at my NH dealer said there would be bolt on plates on the rops and that the pre-wired plugs for rear work lights would be right there. My rops doesn't have any plates. The only wires that seem to in the rops go to the tail/turn lights and there are no extras. Has anyone installed rear lights on this model? Can you give me a clue as to where the pre-wired wires are to be found.
Thanks

I have a TC34DA same but different. Mine has brackets but it's pretty easy to make a clamp on bracket to the ROPS. I would not drill the ROPS.
Just a plate front and back and some long bolts or threaded rod to clamp them. The back bracket can set to take the light.
Look in the wire harness around the back of the seat . On either side Tie wrapped into that harness should be a pigtail with a two wire bullet conn. You can get the matching other half at an auto parts store that has trailer connectors. I attached a couple of examples from the NH spares web.

Forgot to add power comes on at that connector when the key is on. So you need a switch at the light.

Thanks for the info and pictures. I will look again for the connectors. Would they be under the gray plastic covers for the control levers inside the fenders, or somewhere nearer the seat pedestal?

Behind the seat below the rops post. One on each side Right out in the open tie wrapped into the cable harness. If you don't find it by tomorrow I will post pictures. I have to replace the little on on the laeft anyway, one is sold.

I made rear work lights for my TC40A with tractor lights from WalMart, toggle switch from Home Depot, rubber cover for toggle switch from Loew's and used a 13" long piece of 1 1/2 x 1/8 steel for the bracket. Drill to match the two bolts holding the red/amber lights and mount inside the ROPS. Below the lowest bolt, bend to horizontal the last 4", drill and mount the light. Tie-wrap wire to ROPS to plug at bottom. Ditto on the trailer plug; you get two ends in one package. The wire coming out of the harness for the work lights is one black and one yellow in a two pin male/female rubber connector, tie wrapped to the harness and laying on top of the axle near the base of the ROPS.
I drilled a hole in the lower side of the light housing to accomodate the switch ( use the smallest toggle with wires attached) and covered it with the waterproof boot..

Good luck

Bob,
Thanks for the pointers. I found them by looking up under the rear "deck", above the axles.
After I saw where they were, I was able to reach under the corner of the plastic lever covers and pull the plug ends into the open in the corners behind the seat.

Harwill,
Thanks for the advice that's right where they were , I guess the yellow wire is hot and the black is ground? I'll test them.

This is a very old thread, but can I assume that the rear work light plug that is tie wrapped to the wiring harness on my 2006 Boomer (TC45DA) is on a fused circuit with a relay? I would think so if the plug is designed for connecting to a work light, but I figured someone might know for sure. Thanks!
