I would like to install some rear work lights on my 4060, does anyone know the best place to get power from ? I noticed there are 3 white T shaped electrical plugs behind the seat on the right side, I wonder what those are intended for ?
Thanks
Jim

I have a 4060 with the rear work lights. I had them installed by the dealer. The lights mount on the upper left and right corners on the rear of the cab. I believe the connectors were already present from the factory. The on/off switch mounts on the right interior pillar next to the switch for the front work lights

DOn't know about that model, but on my other two Kubotas, there was a plug for the work light circuit routed to under the rear left fender. The plug ran to a 10A fuse in the main fuse panel. SO you can add a switch downstream of the plug and then run to your lights.

The OEM rear light kit is 2 lights just like in front & a switch.

Pull off the plastic cover on the right side & the plug for the switch is tucked right there ready to plug in. Then you just plug the lights into the plugs already dangling next to the mounts. No sense in reinventing the wheel if you are sticking with wimpy near stock amp draws.

Or you do it the cool way & replace the OEM lights up front with a light bar & add another bar on the back while running LOTS of extra juice up to a custom installed fuse panel in the headliner like I did. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...aH-TbnJ34bH7W66Zw&sig2=BUTBxF6JqfGYEBEKpUftQA can't get the short non-Google link on my phone.

I never bothered figuring out the stock amp draw. But my new setup should be pulling over 20@ even though claimed wattage was double what I actually measured. Stock fuse is 15 or 20@ if I recall. 2 or 4 slightly bigger than stock LED pods will be much brighter & no more power draw than stock.

T plug on the left is a generic mystery auxiliary circuit. I assume my air ride seat is plugged into the one I've never noticed on the right. Side defrosters might go in one I've never looked for on the right too. They all should work if you stayed low enough on amp draw & didn't go the easy way.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I believe I will go with the light bar. I don't have a cab so I will have to mount them on the ROPs, I mainly just wanted it on the off chance I need to dig a hole at midnight with the backhoe. :) Great job on the installation posts of your lights, I am going to go back and study it some more. Thanks again.

No point in headlights after the LED bar install. Not only are they dim, but they just glare off the back of the bucket or whatever is on the pallet forks. Mount high for the win.

For sure, I noticed that the other night, the headlights aren't very useful unless I raise the bucket way up which I would rather not do when driving. I hadn't really thought about until you mentioned it, it will be much better to mount lights up on the ROPs, that should solve the night driving problem. Thanks !
