Tractor
Kioti DK45SE HST
All-
I've been shopping for a 45 - 50 hp utility tractor since March but only started looking at Kiotis in the last couple of weeks. They seem to be a well built machine and may be taking the lead over others I've looked at (JD 5055E, Mahindra 4035, Kubota MX5100 & M5140, NH Workmaster 55).

I'm tired of the shopping and ready to put something to work ASAP. Local Kioti dealer just quoted me $24k for a DK45SE (open station with FEL). I can't find any listed MSRPs for Kioti so I can't really evaluate his quote or the "free" loader vs. cash back program. My searches on TBN have turned up several cab prices but not open station. Anyone have thoughts on a good cash price or know what "list" price is?

Thanks in advance.

Just got off the phone with a dealer ~60 miles away who quoted $22,200 drive-out for DK45SE/FEL with ag tires (one above was industrials) so I'm starting to get some info to work with. More data points would be much appreciated though.

I guess we're talking gear-drive here. 22k seems like a reasonable price. Not many dk tractors left, so now is the time to buy. Prices on the new models will be considerably higher.

I paid 25k last november for a 45 se Hst, open station with FEL, loaded rears, and a diverter valve for a front grapple. Usually we're about 10-20% higher on price up here than you folks in the south. +1 on the DK availability, they are going fast. Mine is a beast btw, does everything I ask it to do, and hasn't even broken a sweat yet.

Thanks for the input. Dealer just called and is picking up my tractor from Kioti tomorrow, new in the crate...now we wait a couple of weeks for the loader. Apparently Kioti sold 100+ more tractors than they had 401 FELs for; my dealer is confident he can get 2 of those in the next two weeks so I should be breaking in a new tractor by July 4th weekend.

For anyone else who can use the info, I ended up buying the below for $25,600:
- Kioti DK45SE HST w/401 FEL
- R1 tires (filled rears)
- Armstrong Ag HD2020 disc harrow
- 42-inch pallet forks

Even after a bunch of research I'm still a little uneasy about the HST. I'm 100% certain it will be easier to maneuver, which is a big deal since our property is mostly pine plantation, and equally sure it will be safer & easier for my boys to operate. I'm just hopeful that with regular or more often than regular maintenance that it will last for a long, long time.

You'll love the HST. I had to back up onto a narrow trailer with steep ramps to pick up a disc mower on the 3 pt hitch. The HST made it look easy. My wife has no problem using the tractor and was comfortable baling hay with it.

I have owned both shuttle shift and HST (DK40)tractors.Trust me you will like the HST better verses the shuttle shift.

I could not be more pleased with my Kioti. It has been SO much more productive than my previous geared tractor, and has handled everything I've asked it to do. My latest project with it was digging over 90 Post holes and hanging about 1600' of Horse fence with minimal extra help. I think you will be very happy with what you can accomplish with your new tractor.

Thanks to those that provided input. Picked up the tractor & implements Saturday and got a chance to put 5-6 hours on it Saturday evening & Sunday morning. After going over the tractor with the dealer I'm even more impressed with the Kioti design and it was incredibly easy to operate. Only tractors I've run before are 2wd 1700-series Fords...this one with MFWD and HST is so different it's hard to say they are even in the same universe.
