Swung by the local dealership, and frankly I dont think the guy is doin me any favors. Interested in a LP RTA20 - 64". I was quoted 3500. Now I dont mind paying more for a quality product but 3500? Really?

I can get a King Kutter II and run it till it snaps right in half and buy another for what they want for that Land Pride....

Thoughts?

First, where are you located? Prices will vary depending on what region of the country you live in.

I have two LandPride products, an RCR2572 Rotary Cutter and a LandPride 3584 Back Blade...both are high quality products and can take a beating.

Tillers are pricey...but if you get a LandPride, you won't be sorry.

This is based on five years of LandPride ownership. And no, I'm not a LandPride sales person or employee...just a satisfied owner.

Good Luck!!

Given KK's tiller reputation, you probably should buy one.

I was pricing a woods 72" tiller friday at a local machine dealer. The standard duty was 2700 while the gear drive model ( which he said was preferred ) was 3500. The KK2 is gear drive for 1600.
Like specop said... I would take my chance with the KK for half the price. With my limited usage it would last a lifetime.

would have to agree for the price

I would have to agree, especially for occassional use. If it was to be used everyday I might consider the Land Pride. Still I don't know that the Land Pride would last past having purchased a second KKII after the first was worn out. To me it would not be a tough call, I would buy the KKII.
