Hello all! Looking for some advice... I'm no where close to putting it together yet, but trying to think ahead.
When I'm finally done cleaning, replacing, putting it all back together (parts running up to 2500.00$) When I first try to start it, anyway to prime the oil pump? I will be using a rebuilding oil to coat everything as it goes together. My worry is time, when I am finally able to turn the key, will that rebuilding oil be enough?
I have rebuilt a gasoline motor, and that was no problem, pull the distributor and use a drill to turn the oil pump. On this 384, the camshaft is geared on the oil pump, so the drill idea will not work...
How can I prime the oil pump and system????
