Dealer Recommend JD dealers for 4310 purchase

I need some help. Are there any dealers in the surrounding area to Colorado that people have receievd good/fair deals from?

/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif My Colorado Springs dealer wants 29819.00 for a 4310, hydro, r-4, 430 FEL w/72" bucket, 47 backhoe w/18" std bucket PBY/hydro kit. I do not know what is gold plated on this tractor, but I am sure something is at this price. He is either smoking dope or eatin' dog food, IMHO /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and are sorely needed.

the dealers in my area started close to that price with the 48 BH. You have to work some of them to get the price down.

Ok, it about $7000 higher than mine (I got standard buckets....)

Are you ready to buy, or just figuring? The dealers are very busy, right now. They may just be giving rough numbers, or expecting you to haggle. (Does ANYBODY want to haggle...?)

If you are ready to buy, I would compose a short letter of what you want, and the timeframe you are going to buy. Ask for their best price, including incentives, and indicate whethter you want a finance price, cash price, or both. Email and fax it to the dealers around you, including the guy who wants you to pay for his kids college.

I did that, and found a great dealer who saved me a ton of money. The other guys suddenly could match it.

If all the Deere dealers are still high, let us know, TBNers can help you figure out a comparable tractor in another color, maybe in your area the only way you can go Green is to pay dearly, while another would be a better value. Maybe getting a quote on a differant brand will get tge Deere guys in line.

Thanks to you also for the reply and info. I went and got pre-approved for 30K of financing w/JD credit to show them that I am a buyer and not a tire kicker. Maybe I look like a sucker to them and need to pay more that the average Joe.

I am now looking at other colors for a purchase and will include them in my fax attack too.

Sales people are humans too, as well as the dealers they work for. With the "attitude" that is exhibited by the above quote, I wouldn't be surprised that they are just as suspicious about you as you are about them. Maybe they visualize getting all their money out of you now, as you will just be trouble for them down the road. I could be wrong, but I didn't see much in that quote of yours that was very friendly - more like you were owed a living or something. Once they take you on as a new customer, they are somewhat "married" to you for the duration. Maybe you are scaring them off and this is their only effective way of saying "hit the road" or "over my dead body". Have you ever been in sales? There is more to life than just stacking up customers of any kind.

I don't mean to attack you, but feel you should know how you come across (at least to me). Please don't be offended. I only mean to help you in your pursuit of a tractor rig. I hope you get the deal that you want and that it will be a very good one.
