Posthole Digger Recommend KK Post Hole Digger?

Anyone have pro's and con's on the Tractor Supply King Kutter gear driven POT post hole digger?

I bought the post hole digger from TSC. I've only used it to help my brother put up vinyl fencing and it did ok for the most part. The problem we ran into was that there was a lot of fill on his property and after 10 or 12" we ran into asphault and it would go through it. Other than that it did great. If you are using it for a business, I suggest getting a nicer one like Danuser. If it is for personal use, then the TSC one is fine. I had to go to Hagerstown, MD to get mine as the TSC stores in Martinsburg, WV and Winchester, VA didn't have the complete set that I was looking for. One either had the 12" auger or the head unit and Hagerstown was the only one with both in stock.

Like Steve said they all are close to the same for the smaller ones. But what you are digging can make an expensive one look bad. Where we are up in the hills the sandy loam is easy. The red clay a bit harder, mix in the iron ore rocks and a little tougher. But the river bottom black gumbo is the worse. 3 men standing on the 3pt and the auger is still only pulling up little marbles of that clay. It took us an hour once to dig 4 holes for a camp. Bad stuff.

Around our place an auger is a good thing to borrow if you can.
