It was delivered with the red fuel because that's what the dealer has in their tanks at the dealership.

They sell and service large farming equipment, I can see the savings they get when some of the stuff they sell holds 100+ gallons, and they deliver with full tanks.

A diesel tractor engine rather it be sub compact or Big Bud will run fine on off road(red) diesel fuel

Just remember that this red dyed fuel is for off road use only. Don't ever put any in your road vehicles as the dye does stain the internal fuel paths and if caught the fine can be up to about $10,000. The dye is there solely as a marker designating fuel that the taxes were not paid for. The dye does not hurt the engine I should add.

Seems like they would be required to keep labels up to date.

I decided to save a buck and go up the road where I heard they had off-road diesel. As I began to fill the first can the "up to 5% bio-diesel" sticker caught my eye. Hmmmmmmm, I don't remember ever seeing that on the other pumps I use. Then I start to fill the second can and see the other sticker warning it may have over 500 ppm sulfur so I stopped at $20. My old tractors probably won't care but I'm reluctant to load them up with something I haven't tried before. My backhoe had off-road diesel in it when I got it but it was also clogged so bad I had to drain the tank and clean out all the lines to get it to stay running. Sooo I walked around and looked at their highway low sulfur diesel and it also was labeled 5%. I reckon I'll just mix this 10 gallons with my regular stuff to minimize the possible side effects.

I personally like 5% soy in my off road diesel fuel as soy gives extra lubrication.
