BX 2350
Here is how I haul dirt with my BX2350. It works quite well. I can do it all without leaving the seat of the tractor.
To dump it, I just raise it into the air as far as it will go, lower it slightly, roll it forward, lift it all the way again, and it usually all slides off by then.
I am going to add 2x10s on each side to haul a little more dirt.

That's a pretty slick little set up. Where did you get the trailer bed? Did you make the modifications or is that how it came? I guess I'm wondering what was it before?

The "trailer" was made from an old 1-ton flatbed dually. The frame rails were cut and welded together in a "V" to make the tounge.

Drew,
I like yours, I have done somthing similar with an S-10, kinda light duty, I made one out of a dually IH long ago also. yours has a better dump angle due to the bed being over the wheels, with mine I had to take the tail gate off and lift it up on the bumper to get it to dump.
I now have a 5 ton dump trailer, but my "red neck dumper" worked when I needed it to.

JB,

nice...
I am about to do something similiar with a 5x8 utility trailer..
It has a 3500 lb axle and is fairly heavy about 600 lbs empty...
Any ideas on weight limits and lift problems?
I have a L3400 with LA463 loader.

Thanks,
Jim

Hmm, In Vietnam, we used the wreckers to lift the whole duce and half truck, and that worked pretty well, except all the oil ran up the steering column and messed up the horn. :D :D :D

JB,

Thanks for the idea:) I wanted to figure a way to haul screened material from my screening plant to the area that I plan on landscaping, without making hundred trips with the tractor. I have an old ford courier that I could do the same thing to! :)

Nice inexpensive dump bed, but I bet the dumping mechanism cost $3-$4K. :D

I thought about 1 similar to that, but with a tilting bed. The dirt would ride slightly behind the pivot point, so tripping a release would dump instantly by gravity. The bed would then bang back down by its own weight and latch itself.
