Reducing valve for spin on conversion for ZETOR 3340

I have a Zetor 3340 about a 1995. Installed the conversion kit for changing to spin on oil filter. Was wondering if anyone installed the reducing valve while installing the kit. The weather changed and didn't get a chance to drop the oil pan to do it. Is it easy and obvious to see? I tried running it without the reducing valve but it blew the oring out on the filter. Thanks
