CK 30H
My CK30 hydrostatic is overdue for fluid and filters. Manual shows three drain plugs underneath, but for life of me I can't see where one would pour in nearly 8 gallons of fluid. Can someone point the fill hole out to me

The two filters are obvious; are there less expensive sources other than dealers?

I bought my filters on EBay from David Greenes Trailer and Equipment. $101 free shipping all original Kioti filters except the air filter was a Baldwin.

On my CK35 I would remove the 90* fitting and fill through the grey tube. If you don't have a return kit like this I would guess you would fill where the 2 bolt flange of the grey tube is attached to the case.

Appreciate rapid reply....I went out to look at the CK30 to see if I had anything like your picture and low and behold, right in front of me on top rear is a tube coming out of the transmission case, with a screw on cap that says "OIL". Cap was once red but had turned gray and blended with gray paint on transmission so I completely overlooked it. Would have though the manual should have pictured this fill tube inasmuch as it showed the underneath three drain plugs. Will look for an inexpensive pump, or either I can put the fluid in smaller containers that I can more easily handle. Dealer wanted $350 for this which included pick up and delivery. I'll check out our source for filters also. Thanks again.

Edited: Found all the filters at Greens for about $89 shipped. Can't beat that price.

Numerous members have used that fluid with good results. Just make sure it's the "Premium" as you have written. Tractor Supply also has a regular fluid too. The premium is a multi grade 10W-30 hydro oil that is called for. Just add about 7 gallons and then check fluid level with the stick and top off as needed. Easier than having to drain some if overfull.

Good point Victor as I planned to fill a gal jug to make it easier to pour in and was wondering how to get the .9 gal in! lol. Makes good sense, put in seven and then top off as needed. Thanks. Sometimes the simple/sensible things are completely overlooked.

Super good source; order a set 18 Apr and they arrived 21 Apr. Filters look nicely made. $89 and they fit 25H thru 335H....filters for fuel, air,
oil, and both HST filters.

Got another question re my CK30H: While cleaning and changing the fuel filter, I noticed down below a "box with a large Orange Cap". Appears this box is part of the fuel system as the throttle rod attaches to and operates the fuel flow/RPM. What is the Orange Cap for and does it require any maintenance?

I think your talking about the engine oil fill cap, they have 2 one on the valve cover witch should not be used due to the risk of the breather putting oil directly into the intake manifold if you fill it to fast. And the other one you are seeing on the side of the injection pump.

Good grief, I suspect you are right and I've been putting it in thru the valve cover cap since 2010 when it was new. The one by the injection pump would be much easier to get at to fill. Thanks for good info.
