What is the difference between the Regular Cab and the Delux Cab on a Kubota B3000? Besides the $1,348.00 price.

I have the HSDCC. Some of the differences I know about are: 60 amp alternator vs. 40 amp, rear window defogger, mine has 3 pt position control valve, the other has quarter inching valve. Mine has arm rests, front work lights, 3 pt hitch lower link-telescopic vs. rigid turn buckle, and 3 pt hitch lift rod (right) ratchet vs. turn buckle. Hope this helps.

how is the Cab as in does it keep dust and such out pretty good?

size wise how much bigger is the B3000 over the BX?

Is the extra stuff on the Delux really worth it? my dealer has the Regular cab in stock and i'm sure I can make a much better deal with one in inventory instead of ordering one.

Any chance he has a 'leftover' B3030, or can get one from a nearby dealer? It would have the important parts of the 'deluxe' model without the increase in price.

I would not want to live without the deluxe three point hitch, as well as greatly prefering the position control over the quarter inching..... but everyone has their preferences. The 60 amp alternator is a nice bonus, but the 40 is adequate.

As for the size comparison, 26 vs. 30 HP. Tire height gives you more ground clearance. Depending on what you use it for as to whether that is a factor. I have 5 acres. I need to mow, brush hog, and use a FEL. I have a horse and require a loader for barn and stall cleaning and landscaping around home. A BX should be able to handle most of these chores pretty well. But I don't like clearing the driveway of snow in blizzard like conditions on an open platform tractor. I went with the B3000HSDCC because it was on the lot, and when paying that much for a tractor, I want to get what I want. What's $1,300 when spending $30K. I put a radio in it too, just to top it off.
I toiled over this dilemma for years. I couldn't put off replacing my tractor any longer, and I don't regret my decision. I told my wife that id I would have bought the right (bigger) tractor in the first place, I wouldn't be replacing it. I feel spoiled but I'm worth it.
Good luck with your decision.

I have a B3030 which is virtually the same. If you keep an outward pressure on the cab by not recirculating air, it does a pretty good job of keeping dust out.

Kubota B3030 HSDC snowblowing Jan 2012 (HD) - YouTube

Great video! Not mention the tractor and blower.

I'd like to ask a few questions of you, about your blower, and of course, welcome input from all, with similar experience.

1. How wide is your blower? It seems to handle that snow with ease?

2. If you had it to do over, would you go wider, narrower, or stick with your first choice?

3. Is you chute rotation (and elevation?) electric? I ask b/c I don't see the hyd. lines, and I was told by a dealer that "...since the loader valve stays with the tractor, when the feel comes off, you can use your "joystick" to operate the rotation and elevation."

I thought to do some of that you needed to add a front remote or two, If going hydraulic--do you or anyone else know?

a) Or is this only possible with a "third function valve" built into the joystick, assuming one even HAS hydro chute rotation and elevation?

b) Can a "third function valve" be added to a used B3030HSD, IF, in fact, that's what's required for lifting, rotation and elevation, all from the joystick?

4. Are you using a QA of any kind on there? I'm not experienced enough to tell, from video. If so, is it Kubota's proprietary QA, or an SSQA kit?

5. What RPM were you running at? Std. PTO speed? (And what IS STD PTO speed's RPM, exactly, on a B3030HSDCC?).

6. Do you have any complaints about the engine vibration that has been reported in some B3030HSD's four-cylinder engines, as compared to the B2630's three cylinder engine? (There's gobs of threads on this, and I think it's allegedly more prevalent in the newer, B3000 and B3200's, from what I've read.

7. I know there are not "model years" for these tractors, like a (titled) car; rather they go by the year they were purchased and put into service, IIRC. So, with that said, what "year" is your machine? I only ask because I am looking at a B3030HSD very soon.

I especially appreciated the inside-cab-cam-shots!

Thanks,

My Hoe

I couldn't agree more--especially withe sections I bolded, in your text.

Would be so kind as to address the same questions as I just asked of the OP? For your easy reference, I'll paste them in here, below.

MyHoe,
I can't speak for Steve, but I think I can answer most of your questions.

1 The B2782 is 63" wide. Yes, it does handle snow with ease.... even a foot plus at a time.

2 I would do it exactly the same. The B2782 blower is made for the large B series Kubotas, and is slightly wider than the rear track of the tractor, even with my rear wheel spacers. It is considered a commercial duty blower, and is very well made.

3 My chute rotation and deflector are both hydraulic, though Kubota does sell an electric kit for the deflector. The loader joystick and valve control all of the functions of the blower.

a + b The factory loader valve controls the up and down, just as it does with the loader. The curl function controls the rotation left and right. The hydraulic deflector control kit (part # BL2666) comes with a hydraulic diverter, and also uses the curl function to control the chute deflector. So with the joystick mounted toggle switch to the left, the curl function rotates the blower chute. Flip the toggle to the right, and the curl function raises or lowers the chute deflector. I assume with the electric chute deflector kit, it would come with a toggle or rocker switch to control the deflector up or down with a linear actuator.

4 Kubotas front blower uses their subframe and mid-driveline kit. It is installed when I remove the loader for the winter.

5 The front blower is operated at PTO speed for best results, though you can adjust some depending on snow conditions. PTO speed is approximately 2600 rpms.

6 I have NO vibration complaints, nor noise complaints about my factory cabbed B3030. I too have seen some here on the B3200. The B3030 cab is NOT quiet like a car, but worlds better than no cab. I love my B3030, and sing it's praises to anyone who might listen (as does Steve).

7 Mine is a 2005 model year.

8 (not that you asked) The hydraulic chute deflector kit lists for around $800, and from memory, the electric kit is about half that. The Kubota kits are not cheap, but are incredibly complete down to every nut, bolt, and heat shrink tubing...... and fit like a glove.

I'll add a video of an 18 inch storm from a couple winters ago (havent made any new videos because my wife apparently gave our vid camera to her sister for some reason ??????????). These things are snow munching machines ! The music in the background is the factory optional stereo, and not music dubbed in while editing.
