John Deere 3720
I have a 3720 and want either 2000# rated or a 3500# rated fork setup. Will a 2000# set bend and twist with a 3720 where a 3500# might not. I will lift heavy stuff and poke and dig and whatever with the forks. I won't baby it, I am sure. I know a heavier set will be stronger but would a 2000# work with a tractor of this caliber:confused::confused::confused3::confused3:?

i would say that if you intend on using these to poke in to the ground for what ever reason to go heavy duty but the extra weight of the bigh ones will diminish lift capacity so it all depends what you are going to do also cost

I have 300CX and I think lift capacity is ~1500 LBS, That's on a 4310.
If yours is the same then 3500 is way over kill.
I have the Horst set, can't remember off the top of my head But I think they are ~ 2000 capacity. I do not baby mine and use them for far more than moving pallets.

Don' think you will bend or twist 2000LB forks with the 300 loaders capacity, How many HP with 3720?.

JB.

Bought a quicktach for mine. Swore I wouldn't misuse and abuse it by using it for an unintended application (right tool for the job, etc).

Guess what my 2nd use was for? Digging out a concreted chain link fence stump. Bent a fork (slightly). Later, tore a strap off of the top of the frame (can't remember what I was doing).

You can use a heavy duty unit for light work, but not a light duty unit for heavy work.
