Any home brewers out there?

I'm relaxing with a fine Sierra Nevada Pale Ale that I brewed a couple of weeks ago. I just bottled it last Monday so its not fully carbonated yet, but I couldn't wait and cracked one open. Another couple of days and it should be perfect.

I'm always on the look out for good homebrew recipes. I have a couple of favorites that I'd be happy to pass along.

Been there, done that, need to get brewing again! I took some pictures and posted to Countrybynet today. My poor three tier gravity 10gal grain system must have an inch of dust on it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I have brewed off and on for about 20 years. I was one of the first 100 or so members of the early "Homebrew Digest" when it was an email based forum.

Been kegging for a while now. 10gal is to much effort to bottle. Two 5gal bottles are much easier /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll have to look through my files. I have a few good recipes in there.

I need to find the time to start brewing again. I have 300# of grain that I need to use up. I built a shed to house my home brewery and now I need to get it loaded on my trailer so I can move it to my property in the country. The attached picture is of the outside of the shed.

This is a picture of the inside. Note that I use a pressure cooker to generate steam for heating the mash tun.

Hi,

I have a single tier, natural gas fired, reversable steam-injected RIMS setup that I designed and put together a few years ago.

Brewing frequency dropped off considerably when the first tractor came on the scene a year and a half ago... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif on the home brewing side and /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif on the tractor side!

I also use a 5 gallon pressure cooker as my steam source for heating the recirculating wort when mashing, instead of the normal electric heating element.

The HLT and boiling kettle are gas fired with wok burners like used in chinese restaruants...very impressive.

One belgian double is waiting to be kegged when I get back to the States on Thanksgiving day... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If I were home I would post a couple pics myself, and perhaps one if my custom lable...made by an artist friend...

Willi Crash Proof Ale...

Too lazy to make Lagers...

Four taps on my beer fridge...Generally all but one dry these days... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

No homebrew around where I am now so I guess I will just give up trying to figure out how this thread is related to tractors /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

DocsKnotInn, you are close but I think you are thinking about Llano. We have good deer hunting and BBQ in Lampassas but Cooper's is in Llano and Mason about an hours (Llano) to 2 hours (Mason) drive from here. I go there as often as possible to get one of those big thick pork chops. Mmmm, now that you reminded me I think I will go this week! The Llano river which is 100 miles long and runs through Llano and near Mason is a favorite fly fishing destination of mine. It is full of lots of small feisty Guadalupe bass and the river is ideal for wading or floating on a kayak (and the scenery is pretty too.)
