Well yes the economy or rather say the el-cheap-o-batteries don't' last much longer than 1 season, But heck an economy battery around here still cost in the upper end of 29.00 + tax, not 19.00 as suggested:cool: a good quality expensive lawn tractor battery would be considered 45.00....
a cheap car battery would be considered 65.00, a good car batter cost 85.00 -100.00
I did get the cheap 650 cc 65.00 car battery with low level top post, low level meaning they are recess into the battery housing rather than stick up out of it, so this helped with top clearance issue, as far as the width x depth it worked perfectly after removing the old hold-down bolts, for now it is wired down:thumbsup: I'm still popping wheelies though:D
Incidentally I redone all the wiring and electrical components on this tractor 2 years ago when I restored it, so yes it can be exspensive,
Before & after..

most auto stores and walmart sell a cheap moto cycle or small lawn tractor battery for about 15-19 and then you can get the expensive ones for 25-30$.. one shtat will last 5ys.

good truck battery is about 90$ for a dual terminal model like a 78group....
