Just for fun, do you remember your first car?
Mine... (HA, HA,) starting to laugh as I type this:

1972 Dodge Charger with a 318 - V8. It was baby blue with a white vinyl top. Bought it for $250 from my Grandfather who was the third owner. Cousin owned it first, and then sold it to my Aunt and so on...

Well, it had been sitting for awhile with the windows down. There was standing water in the back and it really smelled bad!....

You're not going to believe this.... We put a new battery in and some gas and it started up! We drove it about two hours from Highland Twp. to Lowell and cheered because we made it.

Over that summer I proceeded to apply copius amounts of bondo to areas where it needed (and didn't need it). Added a new door and trunk lid and for some reason thought it would be cool to add mag wheels and hook up some header exhaust pipes to the mix.

Never really had the $$$ for a decent paint job, so I bought about eight cans of primer black and went crazy. Well, from about a 1/4 mile away it looked pretty good!

Deep down inside I knew it wasn't that fast, but pretended that it was. One day I was daring (crazy) enough to get it up to an indicated 120 mph (probably 115 actual) after a long stretch. I could barely keep in on the road and thought the front end would fall apart. I vowed to never try that again.

Long story short, sold it to some migrant workers for 500 bucks about a year later. It's been awhile, but for some dumb reason I miss that old wreck.

'68 Rambler American 4 door given to me by my grandfather... Kind of a bright aqua color with white top & black & white checked interior seats. It used almost as much oil as gas, but was reliable...

First car? A medium green '46 Chev. 2 door fully loaded; i.e., it had a radio and heater/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif, was 10 years old, just slightly under 100k miles on the odometer, and cost $75.

'70 Toyota Corona. 1200 cc engine about the size of a toaster. Pulled it out of a junk yard for $200.00. New battery and plugs, oil change and it started and ran good. Lasted me about 20,000 hard miles (mostly 2 tracks) before it finally gave out.

'39 Ford teardrop Tudor, Bought it in 1955 for $35. It needed some body work and I painted it crimson red with a white top. I reupholstered the entire interior including the headliner in red and white vinyl. There wasn't another one like it.

1977 Plymouth Fury station wagon. It was metallic dark blue with a 360 ci motor and an auto trans and had about 77k miles. It was a company car my dad got after they were done with it. Later I bought a 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 440 ci motor and a 4 spd with a pistol grip that someone had rolled. Sooooo, I took the 440 and 4 spd and crammed it into the old wagon for kicks. Most amazing thing was that all of the clutch componants from the Challenger bolted right up to the Fury. The only thing missing was the bracket on the frame for the z bar. The Fury was treated to a set of chrome wagon wheels and a set of 80 inch side pipes (functional) and its windows were blacked out. Add to that a set of '65 T-bird bucket seats and a home made wooden console and you had a car that was down right fun to cruise Woodward ave with back in the early 80's. That's where my sickness all began!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I've got pictures but unfortunately no scanner.
