I recently purchased a greymarket Yanmar 4220D with a FEL. It has no remote hydraulic ports. Does anyone know where I can tap into the hydraulic system to add at least 2 ports so I can use a double action hydraulic cylinder.

You can do what the rest of us have done and cut the high pressure line, the small one, from the Hyd. pump. Run your lines wherever you want them, then return the fluid back to where you cit the line. This works for OPEN CENTER valves. I'm not sure about closed center valves.

Thanks for the info. Will have to look into that and see what works

Hi Gary,

I added remote hydraulic ports to my YM2310D several years ago. If you do a search for John_R in the Yanmar forum you will find a couple of threads where I discussed how I did this along with pictures of my installation as well as some copies of relevant pages from a YM276D service manual that provides some technical background on how the remote hydraulics work.

I would recommend examining the hydraulic block under your tractors seat for similar tap ports as found on mine before you take hacksaw in hand to the high pressure line coming out of the hydraulic pump.

John
