Massey 240
I have a Massey 240 that I bought a while back. I've just recently needed to use the remote hydraulics (it has the double spool valve mounted under the driver's seat, directly to the lift cover). I've been using a nh 472 haybine with double acting cylinder and the tractor handles it great. I'm having trouble, though, raising and lowering the header. When the tractor is idling it works great, however, when I'm running at working speed, I'm getting a lot of resistance on the remote valve and basically have to force it to work. It will raise and lower, but acts like it's getting a ton of back-pressure on the system. I have fiddled with the valve and know that you can adjust for single acting or double acting cylinders. I've got the lift arm control in constant pumping and the small screw under the control valve all the way in for a double acting cylinder, but I'm running out of ideas to solve this problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you tried operating the cylinder off the haybine at different speeds? You may have a restricted fitting in the remote hoses or a bad quick disconnect. (Did this myself. Thinking what the check? Everything is hooked up correct.)

The left hand handle has to be pulled to operate the three point, correct. Do you have the left handle centered to isolate the three point when using the remote.

I do know that if I have something on the three point, with the left handle pulled and operate the remote, the three point does some weird things. This may be the feedback you are describing.
