Is this something I should look for in a new tractor? I'm assuming this is to operate attachments correct?

Thanks

Yep, that's what you need for implements needing hydraulic power. Here are the triple remotes on my 2008 Mahindra 5525

My dealer charges $700 for these when bought as part of a new tractor deal. The design is his. Most dealers just sell the factory hydraulic remotes which are very pricy, generally.

If you are going to do much if any grading, it is very nice to have top and tilt hydraulic cylinders on your 3pt hitch. So that takes 2 remotes and then if you have hydraulic actuated implements, then there are 1-4 more. It is always good to get as many as you can afford and or as many OEM remotes that there are available. ;)

if you can afford them, get at least 1 set.. very usefull.

an always add them later, usually, as long as the machine you get can be equipped with them..e tc.

The remotes are well worth the added expense. While it is new and at the dealer it is the easiet time to get them installed. I have two remotes on my Kubota and use them A LOT. I could see a use for three remotes, but have avoided adding extras to some implements where 3 would be needed. You will use one for a hydraulic top link, pays for itself in more than one way.

I have three remotes on my NH. One set is dedicated to the FEL for my Grapple. The other is operating my top link cylinder, and the third set have no valve are dedicated to my backhoe when it's mounted. I'd say you should get a set if you can afford the extra cash up front.

yes, at least one set, and preferably two. Wish I had gotten the second one up front. Good for purposes stated, plus good for 3ph mounted high lift forks (lift and tilt).
