I'm in the market for a remote valve for top and tilt and I haven't had much luck finding a decently priced unit.

I have all the plumbing figured out and I need to find a valve to get this project started. I don't know where I want to put the valve but I know the prince rd5200 series is a little too big. I only have 6.4 gpm of flow on my b7800 so there is no point getting a valve that flows 25gpm. I want it to be small so I have the most options for placement. the rd 4100 series is still twice as big as I need.

i want a two spool with power beyond, three position spring to center with atleast one spool being four position with detent (for a log splitter with it's own valve)

anyone have any ideas or suggestions.

Search for the Prince SV series stack valves, you can get any option you want, and even add to it later if needed. They are rated for 10 GPM so it would be a good match for your machine.

I just ordered a four working unit stack of Prince SV series from Burden's (Burden Sales Surplus Center - Hydraulics, Engines, Electrical and More) Their online ordering is messed up so a phone call will be needed. They have techs available to answer questions about the various units. Their price was the best that I found after a limited web search. They also have fittings and hoses but I decided to go with a local supplier for those.

thanks for the info, sounds like it would work but there are so many options.

I'm assuming I need a da cylinder spool but would a metering spool work better for a tnt setup. I'm worried about the tnt not being easy to finely adjust.

my main uses for these spools would be top n tilt, probably with a ccm setup, a log splitter (which is why I want atleast one spool with detent), and possibly for chute rotation and deflection on a snow blower.

there doesn't seem to be a standard setup for four position with detent, only three position detent my thoughts would be that top and tilt would be hard to control with a three position detent spool unless they are easy to feather.

thanks

I don't think you need metering spools, just use 1/4" hose to feed the TnT cylinders and you will be fine.

As for a splitter connection, you could put a QD on the PB port of the new valve, and add the splitter in-line when you want to use it. That way you will be assured of getting full flow to the splitter and not have to run through one of the spools.

that sounds interesting, but I was under the impression that the pb port was not to be hooked up to anything especially since my 3 pt hitch runs on the same pb circuit as the loader which is where I'm getting my pb from, for the remote sets.

If I have the splitter hooked up and I want to raise the 3pt hitch what happens hydraulicly speaking.

and what is the difference between parrallel and series circuits in terms of operation.

I guess I will would need disconnects that do not restrict the flow but either way 6.4 gpm isn't very high anyways
