i have owned a tc40d for about 9 months now. i just bought another one without any remotes and i really need two to control my box blade. And would like three that way i can build the hydraulic rippers that i have always wanted!! but my question is does any one know of a place to get the control valves alittle cheaper. Man 500 a pop is a lot and i really dont want to spend that much money before this tractor gets out and makes any money! Thank you in advance!

p.s. i am new to this forum and love it i have learned more about my tractor in the last to nites than i have in the nine months i have owned it!!!

Welcome to TBN.

A search using keywords "Hydraulic, Top, Tilt" will give multiple threads on multiple sections of this forum that describe using surplus or after market valves to achieve the same goal. Unfortunately, most involve snake-nest collections of hose, and none will be as elegant as using OEM valves to fill those slots on your right fender. Even more unfortunate is that there is no place to buy OEM remotes for a cheaper price.

Tubewelder, as DocHeb pointed out, you can find lots of ways to create your own remotes, but you will end up spending nearly as much as buying the OEM valves and not have as elegant a solution. Even so, it's a shame that NH has raised the price of this very popular option by well over 130% from when I bought my remotes. If I had only known what price they were going to, I could have bought a bunch and be selling them cheaper than NH now and still making money.

I guess the only positive to paying that much money is that you can deduct it as a business expense off your taxes. That's very little satisfaction when you feel like you are being gouged on price though. I wish I had better news, but I don't. You obviously know how important remote vavles are and how much they add to productivity. I've seen an electro/hydraulic valve that plugs into a single remote and diverts its flow so that it can be used on two cylinders, but I don't know how well they work or how expensive they are. They are kinda big and bulky to be putting back there around the 3PH.

these valves only let u work one cylinder at a time and they run from 500 to 1000 dollars
