Remove front wheel on GT2550 (circa 2005)

Hi All

Just so I don't munge things up on my tractor...how do I remove the front wheel? Do I simply force off the plastic cap and then remove the bolt?

I normally just grab the plastic cap with pair of channel locks and pop it off. They just pop over a large washer.

I thought it may have been that easy...but then I hear my father in my head telling me, "...if you don't know for sure..don't force it..."
