Kubota BX2660
Hello all,

Just got a Woods BH to fit on my BX2660 and can not figure out how to remove lower arms of 3ph.

I know this is going to be a silly question for all those experienced tractor owners out there but I have never had any need to reomve my 3ph until now.

No details on how to do this in Kubota manual or woods install instructions.

Advice would be appreciated.

Dave

Hi Dave,
The anti-sway turnbuckles attach to a triangular plate between the lower lift arms. In the middle of this plate is a small pin with a hairpin clip. Remove the clip and remove the pin from the plate. The plate can now be removed by lifting it from the transverse rod the lower lift arms pivot on. Once the plate is removed the lift arms can be slid inward. There is a bushing on each end of the pivot rod. Slide the bushings inward. The pivot rod can now be slid left, then right to remove.
Watch your fingers! The hitch is heavy, clumsy, and can bite!

yup-- bxpanded has it right. however I have a slightly different method- just for the first timer to do it. Becuase the whole thing can be heavy and can hurt you, I much rather pull the rear clevis from antisway link on both sides on the lower metal plate. Then you can pull the pins from top link on each side to take off. You can now pull the lower metal plate by pulling clip underneath and then bolt that slides out and lift it off. You can now slide bar to one side and pull the bushing out and pull out bar and then other bushing.

Once you practice on how to take it off- you can leave the clevis on completely and know how to remove the bottom plate off and handle the extra heavy weight of the whole 3pt hitch.

Would also be interested in pictures and price. We are rebuilding our full size Case backhoe now and have seen several good used full size Case and JD backhoes in the 5-6k range.
