Is there a trick to getting this off? It's the cover/case of the housing of the 4WD lever directly below the seat, secured by about bolts. I've removed the bolts, beat on it with a hammer to try and get it free, but cannot. Before moving to the chisel, I wanted to make sure that there's nothing I'm missing, or a trick / tip that you could supply.

I'm removing the case to determine why the 4wd isn't working. When moving the lever, it feels and sounds it is working properly. I can feel it slide underneath, or at least it appears to do so. Once the lever is in the 'up' position and engaged, the 4wd doesn't turn the shaft.
