Removing buried electric lines

Well, I tried... There was a third feed line too. After double checking they were all dead, I tried pulling from the drawbar (not the quick hitch). Failed. Broke right away. Gave up, dug down a bit and cut them. I'll probably do the same to the out buildings, later. On to next project...

I'd have been tempted to throw a wrap around the quick hitch or the lift arm with it lowered all the way down then raising it up.

These lines were the size of my thumb, and I tried that at first, but couldn't "tie" or secure them well. Vice-grip or clamps just pulled off. The drawbar had a 5/8" hole that the line just barely fit into. I used that and could wrap up (tie) the line. The line broke right away, about ground level.
