Removing MF 99 Loader from Ferguson TO-35

Good morning,

I'm a new member and this is my first post. I have just acquired a Ferguson TO-35 (not running) that needs an engine rebuild. I would like to work on it but the MF 99 loader on the front is in the way of everything that I would like to do.

I have some experience with tractors, but no experience with loaders. The problem is that because the tractor doesn't run, I can't change the position of the loader. It looks like I will have to brace or block the loader, unbolt it (and front-mounted pump), and then lift it enough to roll the tractor away from it... Or is there some other obvious technique that crafty and experienced forum members all know?

I should say that I have ordered manuals for the tractor and loader from AGCO, but it will be at least another week before they arrive.

There are NO legs on the loader for easy removal. Back then loaders were not removed from the tractor.
You need to disconnect the curl hoses from the tractor (4 rags to block each hose) then unhitch the lift rams from the arms(lay rams on the front axle), then the difficult part , I reccomend another fel tractor(approach from the front) and run 2 separate straps(1 to each arm) to the loader and then remove the pins connecting the arms to the tractor then lift the arms clear and place on the ground with the 2nd tractor.
My father had an MF178 with a similar loader , we had a bar you drove under to remove the arms.
