Renting a No Till drill for pasture in fall, use this or aerator for the yard?

Renting a Great Plains No Till 706NT for overseeding a one year old pasture with Fescue and Orchard. 5 acres of pasture.

I'm also needing to overseed/reseed my yard at the same time as it was new last year and the first stand of grass didnt take. I've done soil tests to hopefully help that.

Can I use the No Till to seed the 1ac yard or would I be better served to just aerate and seed the standard way? My biggest concern is the 7.5" row spacing. In the pasture I'm already going to have to go over the land several times to evenly reseed. In the 1ac yard I'm going to have to practically drive over the yard for hours to seed the fescue evenly.

My friend tried it with the exact planter you are referring to. He didn't have his seed gates set appropriately so he just went over it a few times and it exposed the soil well enough for him to broadcast seed. If it were my yard, I would use my aerator (i have the best aerator called an aeravator). keep the heavy equipment off the lawn.
