I've got to dig 3 or 4 holes and figured I'd find a place that rented a 3pt mounted post hole digger. No such luck at all!

Do the rest of you guys have places around that will rent such equipment?

As much as I hate to dig post holes by hand for just three or four holes that is what I would do.

no place here to rent anything 3pt. unfortunately.

Although you probably could rent one of those counterbalanced one man PH diggers for what they'd want if they did rent the 3pt attachment.

They do rent the two man hand held post hole diggers in our area. That's a lot better than digging by hand. Make sure your friend on the opposite of the two man digger is capable. Mine wasn't.

I own a 3pt post hole digger, & will do 2-3 holes by hand instead of the work of hooking it up.... Never mind running out & finding one to rent.

That is about one of the easiest tools to abuse, I'd guess folks get tires of renting them out & coming back busted?

I'd have to drive 35 miles to find anyplace to rent any 3pt stuff, and small selection there I think. hope you find something.

"this bolt here broke, and now it just spins...Good thing I got these grade 8 bolts in that size!"

If you are that apposed to digging 3 holes, just buy one yourself. There will be another hole to be dug later on.

My local Home Depot rents one-man, two-man, and 3-point augers.

I can rent 3 point equipment, but it runs close to the same price to buy the implement at tractor supply. I have rented a post hole digger that is on a boom arm, attached to a gas engine, It worked great, and only takes one person. It looked like this, and worked great, I dug about 50 holes with it. I would see if anyone has one in your area. I rented it at an Ace rental place.

Both Lowes and HD rent these in my area, as well as a local power equipment rental place. Maybe try Sunbelt Rentals and see if they have a dealer in your area.
