I have a Kubota M5700 and after 50 or so hours of seat time, I've decided I hate the seat.

The NH, Case, or JD seats I have sat in are superior to mine. The Kubota seat isn't very deep or long, doesn't have a very high back, and has a 45 degree angle between the bottom cushion and the back coushion, where some other manufacturers have a 50 degree back. Maybe the seat is good for something other than how I'm using it.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like the simplicity of the tractor, but I just want a more comfortable seat. Does anyone know of a replacement seat? Please help!

I understand your problem... We must have the same style seat. I have a B7510, and yes, the seat is at a 45 degree. I have gone to a number of Kubota dealer about the seat. They all tell me that my complaint is the first that they have heard. No replacement of any type yet... I'm still looking.

My brother felt the sameway about his seat on his new 7510...so he went out and bought a decent one with shock absorbers (or springs, not sure which) down at TSC. He's pretty happy, and not real big on modifications, so it must not have been a big deal.

There have been so many comments on numerous threads in this forum about the problems people have getting comfortable using Kubota seats that I can't believe the dealers and Kubota don't know about it. I think they are just not admitting it and hoping people will ignore the seats because the rest of the product is so good. However, as many have discovered, if you spend a lot of time on a tractor, the comfort of the seat becomes extremely important. I have replaced seats on previous tractors I have owned, but haven't had to on my Case DX.

I think you are referring to a 90 degree seat rather that 45 degree seat. No one that I know of could get into 45 degree seat since that would be half of the normal seat which means the upright cushion would be tilted forward to one half of it's usual position.

Please do not take offense at my correction, but I am just trying to avoid any confusion for someone who reads this thread later on.

The seat on a Grand L3830 (??) kept me from buying a Kubota. Wonderful machine, simply perfect in everyway, except the seat.

I would like every seat complainer to state their height and weight. I think this must be an ergonomic issue, because I have no problem with my seat, yet I've heard many others complain. I am 6'1 and 180 lbs. No complaints.

I have a 2004 Kioti CK20 (before suspension seat became standard). I am 6'5" and 230 so I bottomed out when traveling in bumpy areas. Problem solved by sticking a chunk of fairly stiff foam under the seat. In my case it just happened to be a handy used washing machine drum protector from U haul but the critical points are that 1) it was stiff and 2) it was almost exactly the same height as the uncompressed spring. See photo. Works well and is cheaper than buying the new Kioti suspension seat for $600.
