Oil & Fuel replaced fuel filter, cant restart ford 1720

I replaced fuel filter and forgot to open fuel petcock. Ran system out of fuel and now I cant get it to bleed. I followed steps in manual but it wont pick up fuel...Now what?

I'll try to help you OK from beginning. new replacement filter is now full of fuel.
you have opened bleeder on injection pump and got air out of line cranking engine for 10 seconds
then you must loosen the fuel lines on the injectors themselves only 1/2 to a full turn needed with all loosened crank engine over looking at lines you will see air bubbles out of fittings as fuel starts to build the bubbles will turn into a spray tighten lines retry still not starting undue on line my have to have helper if tractor in picture is the one you ran out of fuel with one line loose others tight crack engine over with good spray coming from line tighten line and listen to engine. is trying to run on one cly? if yes open next injector line and repeat. if no! open line again and retry hopes this helps

I wonder if it is running on two cylinder's? Lacks power ad barely goes. I cracked two injector lines but cat get wench on middle one. I need to purchase the correct wrench for the job. I will try to break the middle one...

if its running it should clear the air out of the other cly in a min or so just run it at half or more throttle make sure theirs no leaks anywhere that will cause air to get in system may have to spray brake clean or cab cleaner on all fittings and bleaders you opened them blow them off with air or wait to dry off any sign of leak needs to be stopped

I got it going but still not a much power as before fuel froze months ago. Only notice the difference when doing heavy bucket work etc... Trying to find a wrench to fit middle injector, real tight fit between others. I may have to remove the right injector line to check the middle one. I wonder if fuel line from tank to filter is slightly plugged? What will desolve any wax there?

If it's running the middle cly has cleaned it self no need to crack line. If fuel has jelled ( froze) you may want to add a fuel treatment. Power service is what I use. What does the air filter look like when was the last time you cleaned it out? Just a though

Filter is fine but a treatment is next. I use power service white bottle religiously. Got some bag fuel last winter and a bout of frigid temps did her in. I need something to clean the gas line. I have run a few tanks of fuel through her since it froze and used power service 911.

I added more white bottle Power Service and she runs like a champ now...

You need to get away from writing and thinking "gas line". If thinking like that spills over into talking like that someone is liable to fill your diesel with gas.

He's fine leave him alone he reprime his tractor bye himself lots of people can't do that!

I'm a diesel mechanic I hear lots of things that a said wrong and you just have to read between the lines **** I still mix up dpf,doc, def. at the end of the day it running
